Egg #104: I HAS A FUNCTION

Egg #104 is at first glance a surprisingly functional item to get inside of a Kinder Egg. It's a little combination lock made of metal and plastic. Upon closer inspection of the illustrations on the paper, however, you can see that it is being used as a mostly decorative item, or in the case of the scissors to indicate ownership. It's probably functional as it comes with detailed instructions on how to operate the locking mechanism but don't count on it to protect anything to any great degree as it looks as if a stern twist will probably break it.

'Zahlenschloss mit Combi Code' translates to 'Combination Lock with Combi Code'. Here are the translated instructions:

Schloss öffnen:
Anfangs-Kombination (0+A) auf die Markierungen einstellen.

Open Lock:
Initial combination set (0+A) to the markers.

Kombination ändern:
Bei geöffnetem Schloss Knopf drücken und gleichzeitig am Drehring deine gewunschte Kombination einstellen.

Change combination:
With the lock knob and simultaneously at the rotary ring your desired combination.

Schloss schlieBen:
Bügel gedrückt halten und die Kombination auf beiden Seiten verstellen.

Close Lock:
Ironing hold and adjust the combination on both sides.

Really not a bad Kinder surprise, though, all in all.
